How's it going?

When composing your thesis for the close reading, remember:

1. What actual message is the author delivering?

2. What conventions of language does he employ to deliver his message effectively? 

Stick with surface features (stylistic choices) unless you are one thousand percent confident in mentioning rhetorical appeals!
